I came into the program with no expectations, only that I definitely did not have time in my day for another “task.” I now look back and can’t believe all that I have learnt and actually how much “time” I have learnt to save just by doing things differently and learning how to work more effectively.
I have always tried to handle everything myself as I was always concerned about everyone’s else’s workload, leaving my own workload to its detriment. Since PTP I have started empowering others with more responsibility, this has been so well received, I have seen huge growth in those that I have empowered, leaving more time for my own workload.
A simple action that has so many benefits.
Since starting Performance through People, I have become a more confident leader, confidence in myself as a leader and confident in my leadership style. I am on the path to clearly defining my leadership style and knowing what is determining my success as well as areas that need focus.
My attitude in the work place has become more positive and am able to reflect that positivity onto my team.
PTP has helped me to practice delegating more, which has helped me to empower others whilst freeing me up to get through my workload. Empowering others and sharing responsibility has added great support to the team.
I used to get very emotionally drained and take on un necessary stress by personally taking on everyone’s problems, I always assumed I was to solve every issue that was discussed with me. PTP has taught me to clarify expectations, because sometimes my function is to just be a sounding board.
